There are some truly wonderful homes out there in the world. There are entire Netflix shows and channels dedicated to people's beautiful homes, but you know what we want to bring attention to? The ugly homes. That's right. We said it.
There are some houses out there that just make you stop and think "why would someone do this?" Those are the houses and rooms that we're bringing attention to today, so, you're welcome.

Hope you don't ever forget to put that emergency parking brake on, otherwise, you're going to come out the next morning to find your car has wrapped itself around that pole.
A House Built For SlenderMan
It feels like whoever designed this house forgot that houses are supposed to have doors, so they had to dig one out afterward. If you want to live at this house you better be under 6 feet tall and be as skinny as a twig. Otherwise, you'll have to use the backdoor.
Why Settle For One Garage Entrance?
Why only have one entrance to your garage when you could have two? Turn that two-door garage into a three-door, because why not? This is perfect if you hate reversing — you can just always drive forward.
What Time Is It? Tooth-Hurty
We're sincerely hoping that this picture was taken around Halloween and that this house doesn't always have teeth, but that may be wishful thinking. At least it's a conversation starter.
Get Ready For The Drop
Turn every day into a parkour course by adding a 5-foot drop beneath your smaller-than-average door. If you're someone who heads to work still half asleep, this will wake you up for sure. Plus, when you come home at the end of the day you can get your chin-ups in! You don't even need a gym membership.
What's Behind Door #1?
This kitchen is genuinely horrifying. It's an HGTV nightmare. Why does the wallpaper resemble blood splatters? Why do the cabinets look like they're covered in broken glass? Why does the window have mesh over it? We have questions.

The nightmare continues into other sections of their home too, which they've modeled to look like the inside of a bronze medal. We think that those are bronze fabric-covered counters on the far wall, but really who knows?

If you're looking for a home where you don't have to shovel the driveway, and you have no access to the garage, then this is the home for you! No one uses a garage for anything practical anyway. Who needs them!
This Bathroom Should Be Hidden Underground
Subway tiles in the bathroom is one thing, but a subway theme for the entire room? No one should like public transportation this much. The one thing we can give them credit for is completely committing to the theme.

These people are trying to send a message, and that message is "we don't like visitors." Good luck trying to get through the gate and up those stairs. Take that solicitors.
All The Natural Light
This looks like a house straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. How could someone live in a house that looks like it was built out of spare parts from other people's homes? To each their own, but that's a lot of windows.
XTREME!
You know this would be a great driveway for sledding in the winter if you live somewhere that snows, or if your kids are into skateboarding. Plus it would deter any door-to-door salespeople because trying to climb Mount Everest probably isn't worth it for a lawn aeration company.
Holding On By A Thread
There is no way that those three slim beams are enough to hold up the addition on this house. This is an accident waiting to happen. Hopefully, no one is standing at the front door when it happens.
A Sea Of Carpet
There are so many things happening in this room that it's hard to focus on just one. Our judgment is impaired by all the turquoise carpet, but especially the carpeted skylight.
What're You Hiding?
Are they hiding an escalator in their house? Why does anyone need a staircase like this? It looks like they had an extra piece of house and didn't know where to put it so they just stuck it on.
Front & Center
If you're thinking that putting a fire hydrant directly in the center of a driveway seems a little inconvenient, you'd be right. No one needs an extra obstacle every time they try to back out of their driveway.
Do You Think It's Scratch And Sniff?
If you ever wondered what it would be like to live inside of a flower arrangement, here you go. Whoever buys this house next might as well rip it all out and start fresh, because it's going to be hard to salvage this one.
How Many Floors Is This Place?
Windows aren't normally one of those things that people like to stack one on top of another. Also, is there a second floor somewhere in between these windows or does this house have super high ceilings?
Those Flintstones Vibes
We're going to give these people the benefit of the doubt and say that this must be a children's bathroom, and in that case, they did a great job. No one would design a Flintstones-esque bathroom unless it was for their children... right?
Record-Breaking
We don't care who you are — nobody's kitchen is worthy of a floor like this. The only acceptable room would've been a music studio, and even then you would've been pushing it.
"I Will Not Give Up My Favorite Decoration"
This is luxury living right here. Rod iron detailing, wood carvings of what appears to be Jabba the Hut under a palm tree, not one but two steps up the tub — the epitome of luxury.
Flying Car Parking Only
Either these people are hiding that flying car from Harry Potter or that garage is only being used for storage. We're not even sure how you access this garage because it doesn't seem to be attached to the house, so maybe you do need to be a wizard.
Enough With The Mosaic Tiles, Please
Okay, look. A little mosaic detailing is one thing. We can let that slide, but this much? Did you raid the Goodwill home section? We love a pop of color as much as the next person but this is too far.
A Multi-Functional Space
Who doesn't love a multi-purpose room? Never again will you have to miss out on conversation at the dinner party if you have to go to the bathroom because the bathroom is in the same room!
Never Slip In The Shower Again!
Ah yes, who doesn't love a carpet that goes right up to the edge of the bathtub? At least you know the ceiling is stable thanks to those four poles...
Add A Little Risk To Your Life
Wow! These stairs seem completely safe and definitely not hazardous at all. It could be a little risky after a few glasses of wine but that just adds to the fun of it!
Bathrooms Are A Waste Of A Room
If you're not a morning person and struggle with getting out of bed on time to get ready for work, make your life easier by putting the tub directly beside your bed. You'll barely have to move. We're not even going to address the other... issues.
Rustic Chic
You can't just take a regular ol' trough from the farm, stick it in your shower and call it "rustic chic." We're not okay with this, we do not accept this.
Jungle Book, But In The Kitchen
Who doesn't love a jungle vibe? You know that they found those fake plants in the basement and decided they had to use them somewhere in the house so that they weren't a waste of money, which is how they ended up on the kitchen ceiling.
Rapunzel! Let Down Your Hair!
Every house needs a haphazardly built tower. It makes an already beautiful home so much better and not at all worse in any way. This provides a not-suspect-at-all watch town that will be the envy of the neighborhood that will never grow around this homeowner.
Two Is Better Than One
When you told the realtor you were looking for a house with a designated bathroom that the kids could share, you didn't mean they needed to be able to both be in there at once.
Access Denied
Just because you want to access the basement does not mean that the basement will allow you to do that, as proven by this set of stairs which leads directly into the wall. You can jump the railing, or admit defeat and go back upstairs.
Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy
Space may be tight in this bathroom, but there had to be a better place to put the toilet paper holder than in the shower. You can't reach it, plus it'll get soaked every day when you want to actually use your shower.
This Seems... Safe
Who doesn't look for a house that has a faucet which is aimed to spray water directly over an outlet? Even if that outlet isn't a functioning one, it still seems like a bad idea.
Don't Reverse Too Quickly
Are you looking for the perfect home where you don't actually want to park your car in the garage? If so, this is just the house for you. You also can't really use your driveway thanks to that giant tree, so let's hope you know how to parallel park because street parking is competitive!
They're Just for Decoration
Oh, you wanted to rent an apartment that had a balcony you could actually use? Well, this is not the building for you. These are simply for decoration to spice the place up a bit. You wouldn't understand it unless you're an architect.
This Is How You Build Intimacy
If you're looking for the perfect way to build intimacy in your relationship, eliminating the ability to close the bathroom door seems like a great option. You'll be closer than ever with your partner.
Maybe You Should Buy A Doormat
It doesn't matter why someone chose to put a grate directly in front of your front door. All that matters is you take the preventative measures necessary—a.k.a. buying yourself a doormat or grate cover—so you don't lose your keys every other week.

So these people are either looking to build the world's steepest driveway, or they don't plan on ever actually storing a car in that garage. The former sounds like more fun.
The Load-Bearing Fridge
