These Pups Have Their Dog Dads Wrapped Around Their Finger

It’s a big decision to bring a new member into the family. Dogs are a big responsibility, so it’s best that everyone is on board before adopting one.

At first, these dads were hesitant of their family’s desire to own an adorable furry companion, but they learned to love them in the end. Dogs aren’t always easy, but when dad bonds with them it makes for some of the cutest photos ever.

Even Dogs Get Haircuts

This dad brought his labradoodle named Charles home from the groomers and his kids noticed a huge mistake. Charles’ new cut had onlookers think he was a lion because he was groomed to resemble the mascot for a local university.

After Charles debuted his gorgeous fur coat he became a local celebrity, even appearing on Good Morning America. Some time passed and Charles’ escaped from his owner’s yard with people calling the police because they thought a lion was on the loose.

Flower Power

This is one of the sweetest dad and dog pairs in the world. The duo was part of a charity fundraiser along with other dads and dogs. Each took hilarious photos for a special calendar that would be sold to raise money for rescue shelters.

It’s difficult not to get a good photo of a dog, so the calendars were a big hit. Clearly, this photo would be perfect to feature during one of the spring months.

Sometimes dogs are just so beautiful that their owners can stare at them all day. This bonded pair resides in Nashville, Tennessee where they love to have one-on-one cuddle time. It may surprise some, but 45 percent of dogs sleep in their owner’s bed. Hopefully, the owners are washing the sheets.

All dogs have the ability to dream, but it’s mainly puppies and senior dogs who dream more frequently. This bubbly Shihtzu probably dreamed of his owner’s adoring gaze all night.

K-9 to the Rescue

There’s nothing better than bringing a dog to work. This officer’s job requires him to work with his German shepherd dog in the K-9 unit. It’s almost like they aren’t even working when they get to spend quality time together.

Many dogs are employed in various jobs around the world. Some career paths that dogs followed include detection, social media influencing, truffle hunting, acting, and therapy. Dogs are needed just as much as humans, in these fields.

Dogs can do just about anything. In order to stay active this dad and dog take their talents out on the waves. In coastal places, it isn’t all that rare to see a dog surfing in the ocean. This dog is surfing all on her own with maybe a little supervision.

Polly the dog and her master were training for a World Surf League qualification in Netanya, Israel. Hopefully, they were approved for entry into the competition.

Time For A Walk

Everyone should exercise their recommended amount, but working out with a dog can make it a lot more worthwhile. Even this aging dad brought his golden retriever along with him as he stretched on a Havana, Cuba boardwalk.

Dogs need exercise just as much as people, so they can make great companions. The amount of exercise a dog needs is dependent on its age, breed, size, and overall health. Golden retrievers require a lot of regular exercise.

This dog looks just as interested as his owner as they watch an intense soccer game in Spain. Each of them have stylish sunglasses and even the dog has a soccer jersey that matches the team.

Dogs are no strangers to celebrations. Not only are dogs taken to sports games, but they also attend costume parades, special dog festivals, and charity events. Bringing dogs to a large gathering can make it more enjoyable for attendees.

Most dogs have thick fur coats to keep them warm in cold environments. This Siberian husky lives in Russia, so its coat is crucial for survival. Something quite unique about Siberian Huskies is that they can have two different colored eyes.

In order for them to keep a healthy coat, they must exercise and be fed often. Siberian Huskies in Russia are known for working as sled dogs. This breed started becoming popular among people when they made headlines for winning sled races in the early 1900s.

When dads are on the go they sometimes don’t have the luxury of keeping their dogs on a leash. This cute dog was up for a bicycle ride with his athletic owner.

As the two were on their way to an Indian Independence Day celebration, the dog hopped right on up to the front of the bicycle. It’s the dog’s favorite way of getting around the city and his owner can get some exercise in as well.

Believe it or not, Russia is the home of some pretty epic music festivals. Not all dogs are great around live music, but this small pup enjoyed bonding with his owner at the Afisha Picnic music festival.

The dog may look a bit cold, but he was able to snuggle with his owner to keep warm. According to the American Kennel Club, many dogs actually enjoy listening to music. Streaming sites like Spotify make playlists just for dogs.

There probably isn’t a cuter picture of a dad with his dog. This blissful French bulldog joined his owner at the Day of France celebration in Moscow, Russia and it looks like they had a wonderful time.

In order to keep a dog happy, owners should keep a few things in mind. First, dogs need a lot of playtime where they’ll receive their owners’ undivided attention. It’s also important to make sure their hygiene needs are met.

The great part about owning a dog is all of the different places they can travel with their owner. This man took his curious puppy to vote with him during a presidential election.

Dogs also make great companions to help people relieve stress. There are some studies that proved interacting with a dog while in a stressful situation can lower stress levels, increase energy, and even lead to living a longer and healthier life.

Some dads just want to have fun. When this quirky dad was awaiting the arrival of Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall he decided to dress up like a colorful clown. Luckily, he didn’t let his dog miss out on the celebration.

His puppy is decked out in head-to-paw patriotic garb; complete with the Cuban flag and red Ray-Ban sunglasses. The way his dog is standing is also pretty impressive.

A Race to Remember

It’s hard to tell if this is a stuffed animal or a dog. Marathons are one of the most intense forms of exercise and this dad brought his dog along for the journey. With his dog in tow, he was able to successfully cross the finish line.

The dog even has his ears dyed red to match his owner’s race shirt and visor. It’s common to bring dogs to events with lots of people, but owners should be aware of how they’ll react.

For those who can’t always count on the people around them, dogs are one of the most loyal creatures on the planet. They show unconditional love, support, and friendship to their owners.

This dad decided to take his furry friend on a springtime walk in the park and posed for an adorable family portrait. Dogs provide a sense of emotional well-being, so owners can take comfort in their constant company. At the end of a long day, dogs will be there either for a quick hug or extended playtime.

There are over half a million service dogs in the United States who perform duties such as guiding the disabled and accompanying those with high anxiety. In Santa Fe, New Mexico this dad uses a service dog because he’s in a wheelchair.

After service dogs are trained they have been proven to relieve immense amounts of stress. These types of dogs are allowed almost anywhere because the people who need them would be at high risk without their care.

Dogs Around the World

In rural Chile, this dad is still able to find a loyal pet companion. While there are different dog breeds in many parts of the world, some countries are known for being the origin of certain ones.

For example, Poland is the country of origin for Pomeranians and the same goes for chihuahuas in Mexico. All dog breeds are actually derived from gray wolves. The dog pictured above is most likely a mutt or mixed breed.

Let’s Shake On It

Dogs can be trained to do all sorts of fun skills. This dad wanted to teach his dog how to shake his hand, which is one of the more common tricks. With a lot of determination, rewards, and love dogs can learn tricks such as barking on command, fetch, spinning, and standing on their hind legs.

It may be exciting to teach dogs new tricks, but if they aren’t in the mood to perform they shouldn’t be forced into it.

Dressed Up and Ready To Go

This dad brought his two cute puppies to an Easter holiday parade and dressed them up in matching plush bunny hats and sunglasses. For pet owners, developing a strong bond with their animals is extremely important.

One of the benefits of being a dog owner is getting sick less often. Having a dog in the house means that there are more diverse bacteria around. When people are exposed to germs their tolerance to being ill increases.

A Pop of Color

Grooming is just as important to dogs as it is to humans. This dad made sure that his poodle looked his best for a New Year’s celebration. Poodles have one of the easiest coats to dye and the bright blue and pink colors really pop.

Coloring a dog’s fur coat may be a controversial topic, but this owner made sure that the dye was non-toxic and harmless. It will be interesting to see how the poodle looks for the next holiday.
