Remember when Ice-T used to be a gangsta rapper? He left that life behind for a starring role on Law & Order: SVU but it was his newest role as the 59-year-old father of a toddler that seems to have completely softened his image.

The rapper turned actor and producer visited The Tonight Show on Tuesday and he went from “Original Gangster” to Pawn Patrol theme-singing father with help from Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon, the father of two daughters, convinced Ice-T to prove he knew the words to the theme and his response didn’t disappoint. “Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, be there on the double,” he sang, as Fallon joined in.

The song became reality after Ice-T admitted to throwing a Paw Patrol-themed birthday party for his son’s second birthday party.

Just don’t assume Ice-T has gone completely soft. He has two grown children from another relationship and just tries to keep things peaceful at home.

“I make hardcore rap, but when I come home it’s all smooth music,” he told Fallon. “My house is like a spa.”

Ice-T admitted to Fallon that having a child in his upper-fifties really changed his outlook on life.

“When a man my age has a child it hits a reset button on his life so it makes you want to be healthy, you realize you want to stay around here you gotta get back on your hustle,” he said. “So she’s really the best thing that could have happened to me at this time of life.”
