Being pregnant is difficult. Sure, you're bringing a baby into the world, it's the miracle of life, but your hormones are all over the place and your body is not your own. Sometimes you're going to cry for no reason, or for a reason that seemed perfectly legitimate to you at the time, but in hindsight, it seems a little silly.
Remember ladies, you are not alone. Crying over random things is a rite of passage when pregnant. And to all the husbands who don't know why they're wife is crying? Just let it happen.
It's The Little Things In Life
Obviously your husband bringing you a little spoon to eat your cereal with means he doesn't love you. It's definitely not because he's forgetful and also doesn't think about what a spoon could represent.
Not Crying Over Spilled Milk At Least
One woman's husband ate the last chocolate cookie in the house the day before she was supposed to be getting a C-section and she sobbed. Seems like a legitimate reason to us and we hope he bought her new cookies.
Going For Gold
Have you ever cried over an Olympic athlete? Because Whitney has. She was in the middle of opening gifts at her baby shower and someone brought up an athlete winning a gold medal. She "burst into heaving sobs" because she thought about how hard they worked to get to that point in their career. We're sure they'd appreciate the recognition.
What Happens When Life Doesn't Give You Lemons
We all know the saying 'when life gives you lemons' but what do you do if all you want is a l little citrus, and you can't find it anywhere? If you're pregnant, the answer is you cry.
Having To Reveal Your Dark Secret
Okay, this one is the pregnancy hormones on overdrive for sure. Jeanne cried uncontrollably because she realized that in order to tell her mom she was pregnant, she would have to reveal that she had slept with a man. To clarify, Jeanne had been married for a year at this point...
The Dressings Make The Salad
Hopefully, Rita was at least visibly pregnant so that the staff could see that her tears over salad dressing probably weren't about the decision between ranch or Italian for her salad. Quite frankly, even in her hormonal opinion, she was right - those do not go with a mandarin chicken salad, so she was justified here.
"I Couldn't Cut Open A Grapefruit"
Who hasn't cried over citrus at one time or another? Sarah W couldn't manage to cut open a grapefruit herself so she enlisted the help of a friend, then she realized grapefruits are gross and she threw it out.
A Little Too Invested
We've all got too into a book or felt like we know a character in a personal way, even though they're a fictional human. Not sure how many people get fired up about the character's food choices, but who are we to judge you for how you connect with a fictional character!
Don't Get Between A Woman And Her Mozzarella Sticks
Kra Montague had her patience tested when she asked for her husband to bring back 2 orders of Sonic's mozzarella sticks on 99 cent mozza stick day, and instead of two orders, he brought her back two individual sticks. Who only eats two mozzarella sticks at a time? We would also cry if our husband did this.
Pregnancy Brain Is Real
Literally anyone who has ever been pregnant can confirm how real pregnancy brain is, and how jumbled your brain can feel. It's a miracle she managed to come up with words that even vaguely sounded right.
A Traumatic Incident
Literally the only appropriate response here is to cry, pregnancy or not. It probably broke the bowl too so that's double the reason to cry because we all know you can't reach the floor to clean it up.
Between A Dog & A Baby
Pretty sure this is one every new parent can relate to, even if they're not the one in the relationship that's getting pregnant. Tracy cried because she realized that things wouldn't be the same between her and her dog after the baby was born.
She Wants Only The Best
She spent all that time dreaming about KFC and craving it, and then someone on TV had the audacity to have a better version of it. Wouldn't you cry about that too?
We Need A VCR, ASAP
Fay cried because she didn't have anything to play her 1997 VHS copy of Scream... Weird choice of movie, but a simple solution here could've been putting that Amazon Prime subscription to good use and ordering a cheap VCR. Crying works too though!
Don't Poke The Bear
A PSA for all husbands: nothing is going to make sense during pregnancy. She's going to start crying about something you do, whether you thought it was a big deal or not. Your best bet is to not talk for 9 months and do whatever she asks.
"Someone Looked At Me Wrong."
Tiffany says she cried at "pretty much everything for 9 months" but our favorite of the list is "someone looked at me wrong" because we too want to cry when people throw us dirty looks.
"My Dog Stepped On My Burrito."
Why would someone risk putting a burrito in a location where a dog would be able to step on it? But also, if the burrito was wrapped up then we say eat it anyways, and if it wasn't wrapped up, consider how clean your dog's feet are. It's probably still edible...
"The Remote Batteries Died."
It's hard enough to motivate yourself to get off the couch when you're not pregnant. Add in a belly with a baby growing inside and some seriously swollen feet and we understand why Serena cried "so hard" when the remote batteries died.
"My Husband Took A Bath"
Brittani Schaeffer was brought to tears when she pregnant and asked for her loving husband to go out to get a McGriddle but he instead decided to take a bath... Another Facebook user pointed out that tears seem like a reasonable response in this situation even if Brittani wasn't with a child!
He Doesn't Respect You
The secret here would've been to tell her that even though they were broken, you managed to fix them. Unfortunately, the husband didn't know to do that because who would've thought she'd use windshield wipers against him in an argument?
"Snow Got In My Boot"
Tygress cried her eyes out when she was pregnant because after walking outside in the snow, she realized snow had gotten in her boot. Who hasn't wanted to cry during the winter? From shoveling snow to just going outside in it, winter is the perfect time to be pregnant because you have an excuse to hibernate.
Screaming Over Ice Cream
Cassie cried because while she was pregnant she really wanted ice cream, and despite having 6 different flavors in her freezer, none of them was the right flavor. Sometimes having too many choices can bring us to tears too.
Nothing Sunny Here
Jen Miller apparently screamed at her cousin when he drank some of her Sunny D because he was "taking juice away from the baby" and then she proceeded to cry all day about it. You could really use that excuse for anything while pregnant, and then you'll never have to share your food.
Don't Question It
Only correct your pregnant wife when it's absolutely necessary. If it's not going to hurt anyone and the world isn't going to end, just let her call it a "horsefish." It's better for everyone.
Crying Over Cleaning
Vacuuming while pregnant would not be an easy task depending on how far along you are. So imagine you go to all that work, and then your husband just goes and walks all over the perfect vacuum lines on the carpet. You'd cry too, right? As Adrianna said, "my poor husband." Husbands have to learn to accept the tears during pregnancy, for any reason.
Alicia cried at the doctor's office and it didn't even have anything to do with why she was in the office. She cried because the picture in the doctor's office was slightly crooked and she just couldn't handle it. Alicia is clearly a type A personality.
He Tried So Hard
Guys, sometimes you're going to do something nice for your partner while she's pregnant, she's going to start crying, and you're going to get confused. If it's food-related, there's a 50/50 chance that you've done something right so just roll with it.
"I Cried When The Cherry Slush Machine Was Down At WaWa"
That same week Cristina also cried because her husband called her out for eating two cheeseburgers, and we would really love to talk to her husband about what not to do when your wife is pregnant.
"My Husband Walked Away From Me Laughing"
"I cried because I couldn't decide which Tylenol to get from the store" said Morgan on Facebook. But then, to make matters worse, her husband walked away from her while laughing, which was a major mistake on his part, because surprise! She cried more.
The Budweiser Cyldesdales
They are beautiful commercials and beautiful animals, but typically the Budweiser Clydesdales commercials don't bring people to tears — unless you're Melissa. The commercials were "guaranteed to bring on the waterworks" and she says she doesn't even like animals all that much!
