Food Quirks In The UK That Americans Would Berate
The things and ways people eat across the world aren't the same as in America. For example, they eat wasp treats in some Asian cultures. That sounds interesting, but things are very different in the United Kingdom. Let's look at food quirks British folks enjoy that are strange to Americans.
Fish Finger Sandwich?
Well, you lost me at the sandwich part. Without the extras, this would be fine for a lot of people.
Why did they have to put it between bread? They almost had me.
An Interesting Christmas Snack
Well, this should be the last picture. Whoever thought it was a good idea to dip sprouts in gravy was probably very bored.
That seems like an idea that a child would discover.
Pizza And Beans!
Okay, things are starting to really get crazy. Sure, you can put various toppings on pizza, but beans?
That seems a little extreme, but don't worry. There will be more bean-inspired dishes coming up.
Put The Jelly In The Ice Cream
I don't really enjoy jelly, so this is already a no for me. Mixing these two textures seems obscure.
That's nothing new with everything seen so far. Who knows, some Americans might like this.

Instead of pulp, they call it bits. Would you rather have something called pulp or bits?
Bits sounds a little safer, but it would take a while to get used to it.

In America, toad in a hole usually means a cooked egg in the hole of a cutout piece of bread.
In the U.K., it's sausage cooked inside of a Yorkshire pudding.
Stop The Madness
I'm beginning to think that they're making things up to make their kids happy when they need to eat.
Putting spaghetti hoops on a piece of toast with butter seems outlandish.
Fries Sandwich!!
If you're going to put fries between carbs, make sure you use the correct name.
A chip butty is when you use bread slices, so don't confuse it with chip barm.
Mushy Peas Seems Safe
It doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with this dish. It's only a variation of the standard way to eat peas.
Mushy peas might look gross, but they can't taste too different.
Fries With Curry Sauce
It seems like they really like fries in the U.K., but there's nothing wrong with that.
It's how they eat the fries is that makes it interesting. Putting curry sauce on "chips" might be tasty.

I will admit that I don't know how this might taste. It's a very popular flavor across the pond.
There are many things I would love to try on this list, and this is one of them.
Curry With Two Carbs
Usually, people only use one carb when they have curry (most likely rice). Once again, fries make an appearance.
Eating fries and rice with curry seems like a quick way to have you in the gym.
Insane Amount Of Butter
Okay, Americans use a lot of butter on things, but this is taking it up a notch.
Can anyone say high cholesterol? That's a little too much for most people's liking.

Some of the things on that plate make sense together, but others don't fit at all.
For starters, why are there beans and fries on a breakfast plate? That's a little bewildering.

Have you ever heard of black pudding? It's not the kind you think. This one is very different.
They make this treat with animal blood! Other ingredients include oatmeal or barley groats.
Duck Egg And Soldier
Here's another one that's a bit different. Dipping soldiers or sticks of bread into duck eggs.
There are so many differences in the U.K. when it comes to how they eat their food!

Once again, we see beans taking over a dish. This time, they're covering toast like butter.
I don't know what to say about this one except don't eat too many beans!

Okay, this one might take the cake. It sounds like it could be good, but why add the tuna?
The chips with bread is already a bit outlandish, but this is the next level.
A Great Idea For Wine
Wine by the plastic cup seems like a marvelous idea! I'm surprised we don't see this everywhere in America.
More people would have a night of bliss if they had these on hand.
