First dates can be a pretty nerve-wracking event no matter how old you are. A person might spend time thinking of talking points, fixing their hair, and strategically choosing an outfit in order to make a great first impression on their date.
One single dad, in the face of an upcoming first date, enlisted the help of his daughter in order to help pick out an outfit. The exchange went viral after she shared it online and when the date didn't go as planned, the internet came to the rescue.

Having one daughter can be a handful, let alone having four and trying to raise them on your own.
Through living with and parenting a group of girls, Jeff picked up a couple of good tips, like getting an opinion from the girls when getting ready before a first date.
Jeff Asked His Daughter Carli For Outfit Advice
In preparation for a date he had coming up that night, Jeff texted one of his daughters for advice. Carli, who's currently in her sophomore year of college at Texas State University, was more than willing to give him tips, such as tucking in his shirt or trying a belt.
After all, women generally know best when it comes to fashion!
Carli Shared Screenshots Of The Text Exchange
Carli shared the outfit-choosing interaction in a tweet that read: "Life with a single dad, asking for advice on dating outfits. My heart."
She attached screenshots of their text conversation outlining the outfit-selection process. Much to Carli's surprise, the tweet went viral with over 6,000 retweets and over 168,600 likes!
The Date Didn't Go As Planned Though
Twitter users were thrilled by the tweet and were quick to comment that Carli's dad seems like a real catch. One restaurant even offered to pay for his meal if he showed up with a date.
Unfortunately, Carli revealed that her father had been stood up by the woman he was supposed to see that night.
The Internet Was Enraged On Behalf Of Jeff
Twitter users expressed their rage and sadness about Jeff's date bailing on him. Some even tried to set-up their single moms with Jeff. One tweeted: "yoooo him and my mom need to go on a date asap!"
A couple users even added photos with their moms in case Jeff would be interested in going on a date with one of them.
Carli Knows Her Dad Deserves The Best
After finding out that her father was stood up, she was a bit hesitant to tell him about his Twitter fame in case it would rub salt in the wound, but he actually was excited to watch it go viral. In an interview, he revealed that he's been asked out on a lot of dates since the tweet.
