The Strangest Things We Wish Moms Hadn’t Done

When you’re a parent, it can feel like no matter how hard you try, you always end up doing something wrong. Sometimes it’s at the hands of your children who simply think everything you do is wrong because you’re their mom, but then there are the times where maybe the criticism is deserved.

Everyone has had a moment where they’ve done something questionable, these moms just happen to have those moments where other people saw them and shared them to the internet.

The Perfect Place For It

Rather than displaying the furniture and dolls like any old person would, this mom likes to mount them on the ceiling so everyone is able to see it without it taking up any precious floor space.

That’ll definitely stop the kids from ruining it, at least.

She’s Not Pulling Any Punches

Oh, you thought that your mom would simply scroll past your Facebook post without leaving her somewhat passive-aggressive two cents in the comment?

Well, you thought wrong, kiddo. Time to get right with the Lord, I guess.

This Seems Like A Rational, Logical Reaction

We dislike it when someone leaves the toilet seat up as much as the next person, but this seems like there might be more going on than just mom being upset about the toilet.

The toilet seat is obviously the last straw here, and Mom’s not playing around anymore.

Your Husband Is Right…

We have a lot of questions about this post, but the most important one is: were you planning on telling your coworkers what was in the cookies?

If the answer is yes then we’ll move on, but if the answer is no? Yes, hello HR, we just want to talk.

That’s Pure Science

It hasn’t occurred to this mom that the reason the potato might turn black is that it’s a raw vegetable exposed to various elements, but she can tell herself whatever she wants.

Maybe the kid’s benefitting from the placebo effect, and that’s not bad, but there are less potato-y ways of achieving that effect.

Soak Up The Diseases

It’s interesting to see the kind of things that your parents are exposed to on social media versus the things that you see on your timeline.

For instance, this mom’s social media told her onions should go in every corner of the house, to soak up the diseases.

This Feels Like One Of Those Stories That Maybe Didn’t Happen

If this actually did happen, then we are very sorry for the pediatrician who had to deal with this.

If it’s embellished a little, we’d like to know why this mom felt the need to tell this story at all.

The Air Fryer Has Endless Uses

We all know that one person who is obsessed with their air fryer and thinks it’s basically the best thing that was ever invented, but there’s a line.

There’s a limit to its uses, and this is too much.

What A…Unique Piece Of Furniture

“This is the anatomically correct male lion coffee table that my parents bought when I was away at camp one summer. Totally embarrassing when I was in middle school. Now I can’t wait to inherit it.”

It’s a conversation starter, that’s for sure.

I Have A Lot Of Questions

Something tells us this kid might not be as excited to find out that he was born in a toilet as his parents think he’s going to be.

Kudos to them for trying to make it a fun reveal at least?

Blame It All On This Woman

We’re all looking for someone to blame for bringing a global pandemic down onto this world, but it seems like a stretch to blame a young woman who just wants to spend time having fun with her friends.

If she had that kind of power, she’d be using it for better things, I’m sure.

For The Best Guests

Whoever let this woman be in charge of decorating the guest bathroom, we’d love to have a little chat.

Imagine walking into this bathroom when you’re half asleep in the middle of the night.

You Should Check On Your Mother More Often

What would you do if you went to visit your mother and discovered that she was turning dolls’ heads into glowing lamps?

You would probably make more of an effort to visit her and check in on her. This is a cry for help.

This Could Have Been A Google Search

This is one of those moments where we might question whether this woman meant to post this to the public on Facebook, or if she thought she was typing into a Google search box.

Google says it’s fine, by the way.

There’s Your Replacement

One young woman made the grave mistake after one too many drinks on a night out and managed to misplace her phone at a bar along the way.

When she asked her mom for a replacement, this is what she received in the mail.

It’s The Creepiest Time Of The Year

Of all the items that we would have chosen to cover a Christmas tree with to stand tall in the front window, dolls would not have been our first choice.

They wouldn’t have been our second or third choice, either.

Why Are They Loose?

If you eat enough of a healthy food, does it get to the point where it becomes unhealthy?

We thought it was common knowledge that you shouldn’t eat too many eggs in a single day, but that information didn’t make it to this household.

What Could Go Wrong?

Tons of parents use the threat of Santa giving them coal as a motivator for their kids to behave well throughout the year, but this feels like we’re taking the gag a little bit too far.

At that point, you’re just making your kid upset and giving him a bunch of rocks to throw.

Their Marriage Is Great, Why Do You Ask?

Ma’am… This really feels like one of those posts that you probably should have kept in your brain.

You don’t need all the neighbors knowing that you don’t like your husband.

Broadcasting Her Face For Everyone

There is absolutely nothing an 11-year-old girl could possibly want more than for her mother to post her picture on Facebook along with a post about getting her first period.

I hope this wasn’t a public post.

You Can Never Be Too Careful

Of all the messages that you should be worried about your children subliminally receiving through their children’s television shows, this was a fairly unexpected leap.

Super Wings just lost a valuable fan.

Struggling To See The Problem Here

Are you punishing her because you’re upset that you have a nerd for a child and you wanted her to do worse?

That’s really the only reasonable excuse for wanting to punish a child for getting a 93% average.

Just Say She’s Almost Three

At what point should every parent agree to stop referring to their child’s age in months and just go with years?

If they have a “4.5-year-old,” clearly at some point between 3 and 4.5, this woman will decide enough is enough and do away with the months.

Time To Delete The Internet

I mean…okay. Yes, this photo is supposedly the smallest computer in the world next to a grain of rice for comparison, but it feels like we might be twisting the meaning of this photo to fit the narrative here.

Besides, I’m not sure microchips work all that well when they’re in your bloodstream, so it’s kind of a moot point, no?

Oh How The Tables Have Turned

It seems like the phrase “an eye for an eye” has never been as relevant as it is in this moment.

Now you know how your child felt when you left them to melt.

From Zero To 60

Before you go calling the cops to report a missing child, you should always make sure that you’ve checked every space in your home.

You should also double-check that your child is actually a child at all.

They’ll Hide Metals In Anything Nowadays

So you’re telling me this mother was able to pick up metals in her iron-fortified baby oatmeal, therefore there must be some sort of conspiracy happening?

It’s almost like you intentionally buy fortified foods for your baby and the product is doing what it advertised.

A Big Little White Lie

You always have to look for the solution that could be right under your nose. Or in this case, on the other end of the phone call.

If momma doesn’t seem as surprised as you thought she would when you told her about that dent in your car, maybe it’s because she already knew.

For “Tying Up A Roast”

One woman’s mother-in-law has this questionable character hanging in her kitchen.

She claims it’s for when you need twine to tie up a roast…or whatever else you need to tie up at a moment’s notice.

Inspiration Can Be Found Anywhere

As far as inspirational items go, toilets aren’t usually the first thing that we think of. One mother clearly disagrees, though, if this inspirational candle shaped like a toilet tells us anything.

She’s enjoying life’s simple pleasures just like the candle tells her to.
