This Dad Is Sharing His Dad Jokes On His Front Lawn

Tom Schruben is a 62-year-old father who has been a bit bored recently. He decided to take it upon himself to cheer people up during these trying times. The best way he could think of to spread some joy and positivity was to share his bad dad jokes on his lawn and online.

He posts his lawn jokes on his Facebook page, which now has nearly 500 followers. Every day, people check in with Tom for a laugh or a big groan.

When we changed our clocks back in the winter, nobody expected that the world would change so dramatically in just a few short months. It does kind of feel like we're living in The Twilight Zone.

We have to admit, this one took us a while. It's all in the word "remarkable." Because you can erase and re-mark a whiteboard. Get it now? This one is a real groaner.

He continued, "I posted my first joke and within 20 minutes, I heard from my perch on our porch a passerby laugh. I was hooked and from that day on, I have put a new joke out each day."

Tom went on to say, "I decide what jokes to use based on my mood and what is happening in the world. We often discuss jokes at dinner, and Ann and Darcy make suggestions. I stay away from mean or political jokes, but sometimes I try to reflect at least the mood of the day."

This joke is actually pretty clever. Obviously, the bartender thinks that "rabbit" is a typo and that somebody meant to type out "rabbi." We wouldn't mind seeing a rabbit in a bar, though.

There are no words that rhyme with orange. Some people say that "door hinge" rhymes with orange, although that isn't a perfect rhyme. Orange will always be without a rhyming partner.

This one took us a second. Obviously, red and blue combined make purple, but he also hates it more than he hates both blue and red together. It's clever, but it's also a bad dad joke.
