A young man in Idaho got his writing career started very early. At just 8-years-old, he has his first book available at his local library!

A Mysterious Book Appears

Staff at the library found a mysterious handwritten book on the shelf that they had never seen before.

The book entitled “The Adventures of Dillon’s Crismis by Dillon His Self” was written by a local 8-year-old named Dillon Helbig.

He Even Illustrated The Pictures Himself

Dillion’s mom called the library and told the staff that her son had written the 88-page book by himself by hand.

He then snuck it onto the shelf at the library shelf so that his mom could check it out from the library.

Award-Winning Book

The library staff was so surprised and impressed with the book that they awarded it the 2021 award for the best “Best Young Novelist.”
