Fitness Dad Flexes His Lean 8-Month-Old’s Strict Diet And Gets Ridiculed

It's common for parents to want to monitor what their babies are eating and even opt for organic and all-natural food. However, it is usually to ensure the baby is healthy, not to give them a "lean physique."

For this fitness-obsessed dad, the focus was on making sure his baby had high percentile weight and being "handsome." When he shared his diet on Twitter, users roasted him.

Like Father Like Son

"Jry" is a bodybuilder and fitness fanatic who enjoys sharing his ideas on social media. Many of his posts show his fitness journey and his own diet.

When he tried to post the same kind of content for his child, it went viral, but not for the right reasons. He ended up starting a heated discussion.

Whole Food Only

The drama was unleashed when Jrey shared a list of what he feeds his child, along with a picture of his fit family.

In his post, the dad attributes his son being "lean" to the lack of processed food that they feed him. Twitter users didn't see the point of caring if a baby is "lean" or "unusually handsome" as babies need their body fat, and they roasted the dad's parenting.

Babies Are Supposed To Have Higher Body Fat

It's quite natural for babies to be born with a higher body fat percentage (usually around 15 %). In fact, it's healthy.

Since their brain is huge in comparison to their body size, it requires more than half of their energy.

Babies Need Energy For Growth

Having a lot of fat stored helps babies grow and fight illnesses. They get this energy from the extra fat reserves and nutrition such as highly dense food.

That means that a lack of fat or energy can be very harmful. There is no need for them to look "lean" while they try to feed their brains.

Might As Well Get His Gym Membership Now

Twitter users didn't hold back from completely ridiculing Jrey's post with their responses. If the baby is already eating like a fitness fanatic, the only missing component is signing him up for the gym to work on his bench presses.

Soon enough he'll be his own "Little Hercules."

This Might Have Negative Impacts In His Adulthood

Under a comical lens, some user pointed out that this style of parenting might end up having harmful consequences.

The kid might grow to rebel and become completely unhealthy, or grow up with a lack of independence and constant monitoring.

What Does He Think Of Other babies?

Many Twitter users thought it was very funny to describe a baby as "lean". It made them wonder how the bodybuilder sees other babies in comparison.

Parents Still Favored Their Kids' Parents

Some parents challenged the dad's flex by pointing out that their kids aren't on a strict whole natural food only diet and could still excel just as well, if not better.

In fact, kids need freedom and balance. They won't understand why their friends can somehow have candy and perceive it as punishment for a wrong they didn't commit.

It's Just A Baby, Let The Baby Be

The baby is just a baby. It doesn't care what it looks like. Other babies don't care what it looks like. There's plenty of time for it to exercice and diet in the future.

For now it should just enjoy sleeping, eating, playing, and whatever happens in its diaper like all other babies. Without the extra pressure.

It's Not Even An Innovative Diet

To top it all off, none of what dad describes in his list makes for an innovative diet. All he did was take some fruits and vegetables and grind them up.

There is another word for that: "Formula." It can easily be bought in stores.

Some Thought It Was Way Too Adult
