People Are Revealing What’s Really Going On Behind The Scenes Of Their Zoom Meetings
Thankfully, you can only fit so much in that little Zoom frame. The people you're meeting with don't have to know that you're not wearing any pants, or that there is a pile of toys at your feet, or that there's a dog sleeping right nearby. You can maintain professionalism in that limited frame, but let loose everywhere else.
Keep reading to see what's really going on behind the scenes of some people's Zoom setups.
Drawn To Doodle
This person gets so bored during Zoom meetings that she's started doodling on her desk. Is that an Animal Crossing present we see? She'd clearly rather be playing Animal Crossing than sitting through another Zoom meeting.
Snoozing Out Of Frame
This dog actually snores pretty loud, so his owner has to keep herself on mute most of the time to keep from bothering the other people in the Zoom meeting.
Just Popping In
This dog is chilling on his owner's bed just out of frame. If he moved a little to the left, though, he'd be a part of her professional Zoom meeting.
Standing In
This dog wants to fill in for his owner at work today. His face says, "Don't worry, Mom, I can take this one. You just get to work putting my food in a bowl."
Not So Pale Anymore
This guy kept feeling like he looked too pale over video chat, so he invested in this warm-toned light. Now it looks like his skin is glowing when he signs into Zoom meetings.
Stacks On Stacks
This person set up a phone on a stack of books on an ironing board. We're sure the frame looks super professional, but what's in front of it is a little less refined.
Toys Everywhere
Not only is this person not wearing pants, but she's also completely surrounded by a mess of kids' toys. Her laptop is also sitting on a chair which is sitting on a low table.
A Tiny Kitten
Nobody has to know that this guy is holding a tiny kitten on his lap just out of frame during his Zoom meetings. That's his little secret (and ours now).
He'll Take It From Here
This dog is ready to step into a Zoom meeting to discuss placing hundreds of complimentary tennis balls in every dog park in his area. He is strongly pro tennis balls
Business On Top, Party On The Bottom
This person is about to join a Zoom call, but nobody is going to see the bottom half of his body while he's sitting at his computer. That's why he broke out the sweat shorts, yellow socks, and slippers.
Who Needs Pants?
There's something so silly about seeing a guy in a full suit on top but only boxers and flip flops on the bottom. What if he needs to stand up during the meeting?
Mixing It Up
This guy is a newscaster, but he's only filmed from the waist up. He spends most of the day sitting at a desk in front of a camera. Nobody will ever see his Hollister sweats
Prop It Up
This person is leading some kind of exercise class over zoom. She needed to prop up her laptop so that her students could see her whole body. It's a good thing she owns a lot of books.
A Makeshift Laptop Stand
This person needed to prop up her laptop, so she decided to use a couple of metal buckets and a pink plastic pencil case. Hey, if it works, it works.
Get It At Eye Level
Who in this day and age hasn't propped their laptop up on several books to get the camera at eye level? This person even has a little ring light attached to her webcam.
Bring On The Green Screen
This person isn't messing around. Their room sure is a mess, but they've brought out the big guns. Not many people have actual green screens in the background of their Zoom calls.
Nobody Needs To Know
This woman is engaged in a very professional Zoom call, and yet she is surrounded by some very messy and unprofessional kids' toys. Welcome to 2020, everybody. It's a year of contradictions.
Clean Up Those Lego Bricks!
That pile of Lego bricks is giving me some serious anxiety. You just know that somebody is about to step on a Lego piece in bare feet and suffer a fate worse than being stuck in a never-ending Zoom call.
Boxes Will Do
Who needs a desk when you have piles of boxes? Why do we even buy furniture when we can just use the boxes the furniture comes in? We also like her lighting setup.
Sitting In On The Meeting
This pup isn't going to let her owner sit through a Zoom meeting alone. She knows how boring Zoom meetings can be. She's here for moral support. She is also here for a warm lap.
Hide The Hair
This guy isn't ready to show the outside world what months without access to a barber has done to his hair. That's why he's showing up to this Zoom meeting wearing a very stylish hat.
Not Very Professional
When this guy is on a Zoom call, nobody at the meeting knows that he's sitting feet away from a heck of a lot of empty alcohol bottles. That might even be too many alcohol bottles.
Behind The Scenes
When this person is consulting with clients and students over Zoom, they have no idea that there's actually an adorable little girl making a big mess just out of frame.
Dogs Everywhere
No Zoom meeting is complete without the obligatory pet cameo. This person has two dogs on standby ready to make an appearance whenever the meeting gets too annoying or boring.
Never Get Dressed
The good thing about working from home is that you never really have to get dressed. You can stay in your pajamas all day long—at least, you can stay in your pajama bottoms.
A Birthday Celebration
This woman is throwing a surprise 50th birthday party for her coworker over Zoom. This is what the setup behind her looks like. We think she did a pretty good job with the decorations.
Not His Best Angle
Isn't it wonderful when you're on a Zoom call and your cat jumps up on your shoulder and shows his anus to your entire team? Cats have no shame at all.
Feeling Left Out
This dog doesn't understand why his owner is home but unwilling to play with him. He has no idea what that funny contraption on his head is. He just wants to go for a walk.
When It's Much Too Hot
This person had to sit through a Zoom call in a house with a broken air conditioner. He wore a suit even though he was super hot. This is what he looked like after the meeting.
A Zoom Tap Class
These kids are taking a tap class over Zoom. This is what their setup looks like. They each have a pair of tap shoes and a piece of wood to tap on.
